Some elements:

  • Bus bulbs (buses don't have to merge back into traffic, and it is easier to get on/off bus)
  • Protected bike/scooter lanes (wide enough to be plowed by snow)
  • 6th Street PROTECTED INTERSECTION - safer for drivers, walkers, and people riding. Offers space for turning drivers to wait as pedestrians cross, while letting traffic flow.
  • Raised crosswalks

Two of these projects occurred on:

  • Walnut Street
  • Lapham Boulevard
