I commute most days from my home to my office downtown in Ottawa - about 5 kms - throughout the year. The first third or so of my trip is on city streets, and you'll see this ride on a quiet side street. When the snow melts I'll be on the parallel commercial main street. Once I get to the arena I'm able to take advantage of plowed, segregated bike or bike/pedestrian paths and lanes.
