        <description>This session covers a class project developed over the course of a semester: a Python program that takes both LANDSAT thermal band imagery and OSM ways exported via Overpass and calculates the Land Surface Temperature that each way is exposed to, used to find Heat Islands in one city. The goal of the presentation is to walk through the process so that anyone watching could repeat the work within their own mapping projects.
