This ride is 7.8 km of bike lanes with some separated bike paths. It is not the most direct route, but it reduces some of the most concerning aspects of the more direct path shown in Option 1. Madison has great bike infrastructure, but unfortunately this route passes through some of the most car-centric parts of the city.
