Scaling OSM Curation： AI Agents for High-Volume Ground-Truth Validation ~ Aditya Sridhar

Manual curation is a bottleneck, with backlogs hitting 200k tasks. By using a distributed data network, data expiration has been cut from 11 to 3 months, making the map 4x fresher. This volume requires rapid validation. The goal is to boost curation capacity by 20% using AI agents to bridge imagery pipelines and OSM contributions, automating 10+ feature pipelines (e.g. turn restrictions), freeing the community to focus human-in-the-loop efforts on the most complex edge cases.
